I've had a lot to write about; the Tale of the Diabetic Cat, the ongoing Drama with trying to get a brain scan, the actual Drama of that day, when I made good on my promise and managed to provoke a seizure by downing a bottle of Gatorade to which I had added four tablespoons (and one teaspoon) of sugar.
...and the resultant trip to the ER in an ambulance.
Sugar is officially my Kryptonite.
Yes, plenty to write about. But with the Monsters home fulltime and needing to be taken places and entertained, I haven't had chunks of uninterrupted time in which I could write. I get irritable when I am interrupted while trying to write. The thousand "Um Mom...s?" per day that happen when the Monsters are home turn me into something just short of a raving manaic when writing. So In everyone's interests I have not been blogging.
I really miss the early bedtime we impose on the kids when school is in...
But the nuns always told me that idle hands do the Devil's work. And my hands have been far from idle (can't speak much for the rest of me). Since I last posted about a month ago, I made this
...because Grace begged me to. And swore she will hand it down to her children. It killed my hands, but I'm really pleased with it.
Unlike writing, I can knit and answer questions /attend to interruptions no problem, so I have found myself knitting more and more as the summer progressed (Although when that blanket started to get big, extracting myself from the chair on which it lived became a bit of an operation).
Don't worry, this won't become a knitting blog. I'm sure when things are back to abnormal, I'll be back to blogging in earnest. In the meantime, know that I am still producing; except it's stitches this time instead of words.
Idle hands...
