Paula, I had no idea of the ordeal you went thru!! I have a strong urge to find 6and a half and kick the shit out of her. How can she possibly continue on in the medical profession without a heart.

don't you just hate it when you know the docs have already dx you before you even met them. I have had this enjoyable experience several times and nothing you say in the appointment will sway them from their preconceived notions that they formulated while reading your history...Maddening!!!

That is so shocking to read about feeling the suicidal thought you described. Thank God you were able to keep a rational side of your brain involved enough to stop the med.

I am looking forward to hearing the rest of what you have to say about this.

Hugs to you,

One Sick Mother

You are right about how shocking this side-effect is. Honestly, I would not have believed something like this was possible had I not experienced it firsthand. It scares me to wonder how many people might not have recognized the problem was the drug (or who were not believed), who actually went ahead and hurt or killed themselves.

Of the 4,000 or so in the study, four actually comitted suicide and they were all in the drug group not the placebo one.

It's very scary stuff.

And if you're mad at 6½ now, just wait till you hear the next installment! That won't be tomorrow unfortunately, because today's events overtook somewhat, but it will be very soon.
