Nothing like finding out that the light at the end of the tunnel comes from a freight train headed your way.

Why did you get your heart looked at? Were you feeling new problems, or was this just a check up? Perhaps it will turn out to be nothing, or, rather, the sort of something that you can adjust your life around and not give much thought to after that. I hope it doesn't have to do with the florinef, since that medicine has given you new hope.

Why not go ahead with the interview for the job? Assuming that the job is something you'd like to do, there's no real point to taking yourself out of the running before you even have a concrete reason to do so. If you get an offer, and then find your ticker really is needing more attention, you can always decline the offer.

I second what Yanub said... those damn freight trains, especially. :(

But how exciting/frustrating about the job! I don't suppose there's any chance it could be done remotely (i.e. from home) and would allow some much-needed flexibility?
